A week full of nature, culture, and unforgettable surprises: 19 – 25 April 2026. We captured the week in four snapshots – small moments that tell a bigger story.

🌊 Snapshot 1: The View That Took Our Breath Away

Our walk along the cliffs of Howth was one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip. The path was easy to reach from Dublin, and as we walked, we heard the waves crashing below and saw the deep blue sea stretching out beside us. The wind made everything feel even more alive. We continued far enough to spot the lighthouse in the distance — a tiny white dot above the water. At the top, the view was spectacular, and many of us tried to capture it with countless photos.

🥪 Snapshot 2: A Small Culture Shock

Lunch in Ireland surprised many of us. We didn’t expect an Irish “sandwich” to be simple untoasted toast bread — and the salt and vinegar crisps on the side were definitely new. While some of us didn’t mind the Irish meals at all, others used the chance to explore new places. Warm scones with butter and jam, small cafés, friendly restaurants — trying new food quickly became part of the adventure.

🍀 Snapshot 3: Dancing Our Way Into Irish Culture

One evening in Temple Bar became our most Irish moment. During our three‑course dinner, a live band played traditional music while four dancers in colourful costumes performed energetic step‑dance routines. With every course came a new dance — and at the end, the bravest among us were invited to join. Elina, who stepped forward without hesitation and danced confidently in front of the whole pub, summed up her moment on stage like this: “I felt Irish — as if ginger hair suddenly grew out of my head and a leprechaun outfit appeared on me. It felt like my roots were Irish. It was incredible!”

💡 Snapshot 4: A Glimpse Into the Future at Google

Another highlight was our visit to Google’s European headquarters. Four employees from the sales team for the German‑Austrian market guided us through the campus in small groups. On our way from the entrance to the meeting room, all the screens we passed displayed our school logo — a surprisingly personal welcome. We learned about the many benefits for the 9,000 employees, from themed restaurants to sports areas, a cinema and bright, modern offices. It was fascinating to see how Google works behind the scenes, and many of us left feeling inspired about what working at Google might be like.

✨ A Week Full of Moments We Won’t Forget

Cliffs, culture, history, new flavours, dancing, tech insights — our Ireland trip gave us memories that will stay with us for a long time. Each snapshot shows a different side of the week, and together they tell the story of an experience we’ll always remember.
