When I die Dublin will be written in my heart. – James Joyce, writer.
As Nobel-prize-winning literate James Joyce once melancholically raved, Dublin captivates one’s heart and never lets it go. After having gained wonderful experiences meeting their host families, spending time in different language courses and visiting many famous sights of Dublin (e.g. statute of Molly Malone, Trinity College, Cork Park) and its surroundings (e.g. Howth), students of the III.HAK and III.HLT reminisce about their favourite moments in Ireland’s capital city:
“I liked the trip to Ireland very much because the people were very friendly, and the landscape is wonderful, especially the Cliffs of Howth.” Anna
“[insp]ireland – discovered Dublin, met new people, improved my English skills, ate delicious food. Amazing!” Lea
“The trip to Ireland/Dublin was a very beautiful experience. I liked visiting the Cork Park Stadium the most.” Matthias
“Dublin is a very beautiful and inspiring city. The best things were the houses with their own style, the little streets and the colourful doors. Most I liked the city tour, when I could talk to our guide and the trip to Howth because of the landscape.” Marisa
“Ireland was a wonderful experience with nice people, very good food and a friendly host family. They gave us a warm welcome and we felt like home.” Johanna and Maria-Theresa
“I really enjoyed the evening with Irish Dancing, because it was really funny. I also liked the Howth Cliff Walk. All in all, it was a great week.” Jonah
